This is how I feel about my Gelli prints. I rarely get a whole page that is perfect, but I always get parts that I love. I've been trying to use more of those bits.
Here are a few of the prints I used:
Enter the Gelli dress:
I stamped this Dawn Houser My Mother's Dress stamp onto the Gelli prints. I like stamping with VersaFine pigment ink because it captures all the detail in this stamp. I finish the stamping with clear embossing.
Then I cut out the stamped dress, but I didn't try to cut out the hanger! Even my limited drawing skills were enough to draw in the hanger.
Love these frilly Gelli print dresses.
Very cute!

ReplyDeleteThanks! Fun stuff.
DeleteI love this idea! I just a week ago went through my stamps to get rid of the less used ones, and this one is in that pile, Humm guess I will be digging in that box again!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the way? Just when you toss something, it becomes the BEST THING EVER !
DeleteThese are gorgeous. I am now on the hunt for this stamp. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love this girly stamp.
DeleteWhat a really great idea. I have found different ways to use parts of pages too like one part that looked like a mountain landscape with trees. Not sure how that happened but its going on a card for someone in the near future. It's amazing what we can do if we have the eyes and the will to see things in the imperfect. Thank you for sharing the lovely dresses.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patty. I love the challenge of using bits and pieces of prints. They add so much interest and character.
